North Ridge Ranch

My friend and I had stopped at the side of the road to look at some beautiful dogs. Soon after, we met Brad and Lea, who were out spending some time with the dogs. They were kind enough to talk with us for quite a while, telling us about what it's like to have a dog sled ranch, a bit about the area and it's history, and answer all of the questions we had. It soon became evident that this family is wonderful, kind, and they really know how to take good care of their dogs, and their customers. We even met Leah, Brad's wife, as she arrived back to the ranch, as she stopped to say hello as well. We want to thank them for this lovely time and we look forward to booking our sled rides in the future.

Leah and Brad were fantastic. Brad is very knowledgeable and you can tell takes great pride and care of his dogs and visitors to the ranch.

I feel I have to comment on the negative review I saw that was left recently. I can’t comprehend how they could have walked away from the experience we had with this opinion unless you weren’t ready to listen. You can tell the safety of his visitors and dogs are priority - and safety is serious. If you can’t sit back and be the “student” and respect the knowledge of the teacher that’s a huge safety concern for not only you, but also the owners and the dogs. As well, as a woman who went with another woman I never once felt my abilities questioned. We felt totally welcomed and comfortable. I just felt after the experience we had today I had to comment on that... Brad and Leah were truly amazing. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

What a fun and unique experience! I had always wanted to go dog sledding and this half day tour exceeded my expectations. You can see the love and care that Brad and Leah have for their dogs. The dogs are healthy, happy, and ready to run! It is important to remember both yours and the dogs safety is top priority when dog sledding, but Brad gave detailed instructions so you feel ready to take on the trail! :)

My wife and I went to North Ridge Ranch yesterday for our first ever dog sledding adventure. We did the four hour tour and all our expectations were met and exceeded. First of all, you can tell how much Brad and Leah love their dogs. That was important to us. Secondly, their knowledge and professionalism for dog sledding was very impressive. Brad's pre trip lesson was very extensive and 100% necessary. One of the biggest surprises was to see how much the dogs loved pulling the sleds. Our lead dog and my favorite was Timber. Any time we had to stop and wait for the sled in front of us to get ahead, Timber would turn back to look at us and bark in excitement as if to say "Let's go "
We totally recommend this adventure to anyone who hasn't tried this yet.
Meeting and interacting with the dogs before and after the tour was a bonus. I think we developed a new appreciation for the amount of care for the dogs and preparation for each tour. The dogs are equally eager to go as they are lovable.

Wonderful family experience! North Ridge followed all Covid protocols and we felt safe while experiencing a half day of sledding. The dogs were so happy to be pulling us through the spectacular scenery. Brad gives a thorough instruction at the beginning which warned us of all possible dangers. This prepared us fully for tackling the job of sledding. Be sure to dress warmly, especially with hotshots for your feet. We brought sleeping bags for the passengers to cocoon in and it worked perfectly. I recommend this to everyone!
