Everything is great except we were trapped in the elevator on the lobby floor for over an hour and a half. The lady on the emergency line lied to us that there were people helping us get out. The third time we called, she was gone home and the answering machine picked up, then redirected to a different person that hung up on us. We eventually forced the door open and informed the front desk, He was clueless to what was happening. The supervisor offered only 1 free night of parking for 2 vehicles of our 3 night stay. Also , we were offered 1 snack and 1 drink in the snack section. Sternly told the offer was ONLY to the 7 of 9 people that were actually stuck in the elevator. I feel like if we didn't take the initiative to force the door open, we would have been there for hours. There should have been better emergency procedures in place. This could have been very serious. I feel as though this was not sufficient compensation for how negligent the emergency operator was, the hotel was not notified.
Great experience. Stayed here in March of this year. Room was bright, large and very clean. The hotel grounds/lobby was very clean and staff seem happy and helpful. The location is central to all the bars and restaurants downtown.
Great hotel. Very quiet. Breakfasts and dinners were basic but acceptable. Staff helpful. Room was a generous size and very quiet. Would stay here again.
Very central location, you can walk around the corner to the citadel. Rooms are decent, though we had a few maintenance issues during our stay. Staff was curteous. You can get better views down by the water but this location is pretty good. Just in case you missed it on the Hilton website, parking is $22CAD per day. There is a garage about 100 feet from the entrance that is used for parking.
