Whyte Lake Trail

  Easy trail that's dog and kid friendly. It's not particularly long or steep, and you can go round trip in 2-3 hours.
  
  The parking lot is close to the highway and passes underneath the bridge at the start of the hike. Parking is free but somewhat limited.
  
  The payoff is Whyte Lake. There's a small dock that you can swim off of, but not much waterfront access otherwise. You can walk around to the opposite side of the lake and there's some beach access there.

  Not like lynn canyon. It's an actual trail. Great place to take the doggo. However you shouldn't swim here. I've seen people fishing here.... but I dont know if theres anything but pollution in that lake... it's kinda sad but the trail is so nice. You dont have any cell service and cant hear the traffic. It's so serene.

  Whyte Lake hike is a short 5km beautiful hike with an interpretive learning area. It starts on the side of the highway, follow the trail under the highway and to a water reservoir before having the option to go over a pedestrian bridge to Spirit Trail or into the mountain where at the end you will find Whyte lake. If you pass Whyte Lake, the trail will lead you out to Horseshoe Bay. Nice trail!

  A sweet little lake well worth the hike. The new peer is bare so bring something to sit on. I came early enough that I got a few serene minutes alone. The lake is warm and swimable.
