(March 2, 2019, 7:55 am)Easy trail that's dog and kid friendly. It's not particularly long or steep, and you can go round trip in 2-3 hours.
The parking lot is close to the highway and passes underneath the bridge at the start of the hike. Parking is free but somewhat limited.
The payoff is Whyte Lake. There's a small dock that you can swim off of, but not much waterfront access otherwise. You can walk around to the opposite side of the lake and there's some beach access there.
