  Kind of felt like sleeping in someone's guest room, having breakfast included was really convenient and it was very accommodating. Only one functional shower that I could find, but it wasn't a problem for this trip. I would definitely stay here again.

  Service was great, room was clean, but stuffy and hot. Included breakfast was nutricious and filling.

  Nice inexpensive hostel to stay at. The host and guest were friendly.

  I have been guest at Chez Jean on and off since 2001. Groom meeting traveling musicians to Cirque during Soleil performers, the guests, staff and everyone is warm and friendly. Be ready for super casual and informal hostel experience that is cheap and straightforward!!! I will keep returning until I can't climb the stairs...luckily they have units on the ground floor too!
