I don't recommend the gold exploration in a nearby river, it's not worth it (there's no explanation or context or history given; you wear boots and look for gold - you can do that yourself, on your own time), unless you simply wish to give money to a local business! Fun visit of the mine. I enjoyed listening to the explanations and history! Lasts about two hours in total (including truck rides up and down to and from the mine entrance).
