  This place has a basic mom-and-pop diner feel to it with Thai food and Indian Hakka on the menu. Wonton soup broth lacked depth of flavour. As a Halal restaurant, the wontons were chicken instead of the usual pork, but tasty. The vegetable pakoras were crispy, with mild heat. Unfortunately, they came at the end of our meal. The deep red colour was new to us. A sweet, vinagry sauce with coriander and ginger was a cool accompaniment to balance out the heat. The House Special fried rice was on par with most Chinese take out places but well supplied withith chicken, beef, shrimp and squid. The portions were generous in size and not overly salty. Service was quiet and quick: this is a one person shop. The lady behind the counter was doing it all. The bathrooms were a subterranean adventure as is common in Toronto. Marks on the wall above the base boards suggested recent flooding. Bathrooms get a C- : not well stocked and needed to be cleaner. Our total for lunch with soup, fried rice, pakoras and 2 soft drinks was $32 with tax before tip.
