Originally created by Cinematographer Justin Lovell as a means to transfer his own films being created on 8/16mm in 2003, we designed our own 2k scanner (nicknamed Belladonna) and in early 2015, we've acquired the extremely powerful 4k 8/16/35mm Lasergraphics Scanstation. A milestone for us which is capable of capturing more information than what is on the film itself.

Frame by frame razor sharp scanning, advanced color correction, and a cinematographer's eye are at the heart of what makes our film scans stand apart.

    Great service and these guys do great work , it proves that super 8 doesn't have to lose it 's edge or be sacrificed in look when going digital . I will pick no other place when it comes to do any future film projects. I have worked with these guys twice so far and service was a1 .

    The Film Discreet team do excellent work. I highly recommend the overscan 2k film transfer for the best quality. They are also great about answering basic technical questions. I'm definitely working with them again.

    Frame Discreet does terrific work! I've worked with Lianne on two occasions , transferring 16mm to digital video and also Super-8! She takes the time to explain to you what's happening and gives you all the possible options so you can make your transfer look as good as it can be.
    I was surprised at how good the transfer from 16 looked and sounded. I felt very proud when my film was screened in Spain in its new digi version on a big screen! Thanks FD!
