I believe they try their best. Everywhere there is always room for improvement. You can always leave a comment suggestions feedback in the comment box. McCalls has at least one floor or more for inpatient professional rehabilitation services and separate floors as a temporary location for persons waiting for a long term care facilities.

I have been reviewing comments regarding long term care facilities - worst first and then date dependent. The more current feedback is more reflective of the management and staff caring for your loved ones. I have sent emails and left vmail to different facilities. After leaving both an email and vmail for one of the other facilities, they replied to my email after 11 days with no useful info from the social worker. In my opinion, that is reflective of how long they will take to respond to my concerns over my family member if admitted to their facility. I called the McCall Centre and left a vmail for Mayuri (social worker) and she responded quickly and she took the time to give me the detailed information and options available. I understand that sometimes someone on the front line may not provide the expected level of care. It is sad but I believe it can happen anywhere. It is what is done after it is reported to management (or the social worker) that counts. Mayuri is a great representative for the McCall Centre. We need to acknowledge the people who will go above and beyond - who will take the time. These are the people who will help ensure our loved ones receive the care that they should be receiving in their vulnerable state.

My Dad was at McCall for 5 years and we had excellent care for my Dad. The staff made my family comfortable and assured us that they were always doing the best for my father's care. We created a home for my Dad and along the way we made friendships and new family connections along the way. A special thank you to all the care staff.

Great place for my mother, she is looked after by great caring staff.
