Great customer service

GOOGLE should have some way to give 6 STARS for a select few businesses .... like this one!! Think about this for a moment. Basil and his crew have built this business up to thousands of customers and his advertising budget is exactly ZERO dollars per year. That comes exclusively from satisfied customers telling their family and friends that they have finally found an honest mechanic who is on THEIR side in the transaction.

Basil spends hours and hours online tracking down aftermarket and used parts for customers who can't afford the prices dealers charge. Being a mechanic is more like a "mission" to him than a job. He is extremely well respected, especially in the West Indian community, for his honesty and integrity. Customers push their keys through the mail slot with a note that says something along the lines of, "Engine is making a funny noise. Fix it and charge my credit card". THAT'S the level of trust they have in this exceptional young man.

Going on 10 years that I have been taking both my vehicles there. Have had everything done from an oil change to an engine replacement. I've actually had minor arguments with Basil, telling him that I should be charged more for the Labour. "Next time", he says ...... but next time never comes!!

Honesty and integrity are a rare commodity in this business world today. Basil could give some of his away ..... and he'd still have too much !!

My Review for BG Automotive is a few weeks overdue. It is VERY hard to find a good mechanic and I was referred to Basil at BG Automotive by (Precision Auto Parts near by) to do some major repairs on my car.
When I got there I kind of did a quick interview with the customers lol, and a few of them confirmed that they had been coming to Basil for years, so that gave me some confidence.
The first day I went, the wait to assess my car was so long (several customers ahead of me), I had to end up leaving and coming back the following day.
Basil, Noel and the team did an AMAZING job on my car!!! The car was done within a reasonable time-frame and I was charged the right amount of hours. Before this place I almost ended up spending more than double because the mechanic before ( somewhere on Finch ) had exaggerated the amount of time that the work would take. So this other mechanic's hourly rate SEEMED cheaper but I would have been robbed with his exaggerated hours.
Thank you so much Basil, Noel and (the lady at the front that I may have not been very patient with ), and the rest of the team for a job well done. I hope that I can continue coming here for regular maintenance e.t.c. God Bless.
