(September 16, 2018, 12:23 pm)Dainty Tract is a great 30 to 40 minute walk location. There are 3 loops so you can do the short loop to walk your dog, the perimeter walk that takes about 30 minutes at a good pace, or mix the two of them. I love the the trail that is in the middle of the tract.
It has some very sandy areas, especially at the back of the trail and in the middle of the tract, so regular mountain bikes can sink right in. FatBikes are a lot better option for the trail as they provide plenty of grip. I usually rent one and get it delivered to the parking lot by a company caled Twilight Forest that is in the vecinity. Great service and friendly staff. I will do snow shoeing with them in the winter too.

(March 9, 2017, 5:47 pm)So glad we stumbled across this spot today. If you're put off by all the mud on other trails in the spring, this is perfect because most of the paths have a layer of leaves, pine needles, sand, or a combination. Beautiful trees, but you will notice a lot of stumps with moss growth because the forest had to be thinned. Great for a quick 20 to 30 minute walk as the two trails are easily to follow.
