They always have unique and trendy glasses that you will not find anywhere else and won’t break the bank. I love my Silhouette titanium glasses , they are so light and comfortable!

My sister and I was walking around Unionville Main St., one evening and went into Unionville Optical to browse around. Annie was helpful and professional showing us the frames. Indeed Unionville Optical has great selection and although we didn't originally plan on getting any glasses we end up getting 3 pairs (2 are sunglasses) in total. As both of us has prescription, we need to get prescription lens for our frames... but then this lead to some disappointment. As both of us had been wearing glasses since we were small, we know what to expect.

Firstly, it took 2-3 weeks for the lens to be ready (the norm is 1 week).
The prescription lens for all our glasses were on the thick side (we both has high prescription) compare to what we had before. After digging into some literature about indexes, higher the index the thinner the lens but compromise on clarity. My lens has an index of 1.53 which does give high clarity, but it indeed was very thick. I guess it comes down to different expectations of the store and me. Anyway, I decided to just take the frame and do the lens at another place.
Joanne (store manager) realized that we were not happy with the service and lens were apologetic and willingly taking any criticism for improvement and did not charge me for the lens. I would have given a "one" star but seeing that they are willing to accept feedback for improvement, this is all it matters at the end.
Although it was not a good experience, all the staff had been polite and nice.

Such a beautiful shop. But more than that, the service is second to none. The owner Michael helped me choose a beautiful pair of La Matta frames, and educated me about the lenses I'm getting.. can't wait to pick them up.
He even fixed my mother's sunglasses while we were there. Serious service!
