(July 26, 2019, 4:21 pm)Our daughter (just under 2 years old) has spina bifida. We are from the US and on vacation, our daughter has a UTI which is common with her condition. Our doctor from the US tried to call in an antibiotic which was unable to be filled because it was not from a Canadian doctor. Dr Hao took the insurance call and unfortunately was unable to fill the prescription, but his advice within hisa to prescribe / give medical advice was very helpful. I was able to meet in person with Dr Hao and he gave us the best medical advice for over the counter medicine. He advised to keep our daughter hydrated, advised us what to look out for if we need to take her to urgent care / ER, and said to call with any questions. Thank you Dr Hao!!
I hope in the future transfer of medications internationally without having to go to the ER, as well as doctor prescribed medications, can be more easily transferred.
