The Vacuum Store

Purchased 2 hide-a-hose with installation. The one in the basement always worked perfectly well but the ground floor one was so hard to pull out of the wall, I could not do it myself. Had to ask my husband and even he found it pretty difficult. So I contacted the owner who came to have a look. he agreed there was a problem and sent me his best installer (Carey) to see what he could do. Carey completely reinstalled the ground floor unit and it now works like a charm. I really like doing business with them as they take very good care of their clients and their word (warranty) is worth its price in gold. Thanks Allan and Carey!

Update: The technician is very nice and customer focused but he was only able to repair part of the problem. We are still left with a hose that won't easily come out when we need to use it. They are looking into the issue and will get back to us. I have updated my review from 2 stars to 4 because the technician is still trying to address the issue and worked tirelessly to fix the broken hose that was stuck in our wall.

Unfortunately we have had several issues with our central vac. We have been trying to get it repaired because it wasn’t installed properly the first time and now it finally broke. No one is returning our calls and we’ve been without a vacuum for 3 weeks+.The hose has always been incredibly difficult to pull out on the main floor but not upstairs for some reason. They couldn’t figure out the issue so we were told there was nothing that could be done about it. A technician came to repair it because the hose finally broke 3 weeks ago. He wasn’t able to pull it out of the wall and said he needed a special tool that was in Kingston. Another service call was scheduled for last Wednesday and then I received a call 30 mins prior to the service call to say that the technicians was injured and could no longer do the service call. We were told someone would come in 2 days but we are still waiting and no one has returned any of our calls.

I would 100% recommend The Vacuum Store as they provided us a central vacuum for a great price and Graham was extremely knowledgeable and was patient in answering all our questions.
