  I used to come here as a child. Was pleased to see its just like I left it. Such a beautiful place.

  We took our 4 grandchildren to the shale beach exhibit and had a wonderful time. We want to give a special thank you to Olivia Guest, who taught us all about the local rocks and fossils. She was totally engaging and her enthusiasm was contagious. It was an excellent program for children, and we had a good time too!

  this place has the most beautiful and quiet beach around. not many people know about it so you have a lot of privacy. it is also dog friendly and a lot of people bring their pups for a swim. the rocks on the beach is excellent for skipping rocks and there are geese and ducks if you go during the right season.

  Gorgeous historic building and land.
  The historic stone-built Pinhey home is absolutely gorgeous and is completely original to how it was in the 1800s.
  The home is open for the public view.
  There are also ruins of old buildings that used to be on the site you can look at,
  One of them an old stone kitchen, separate from the main home.
  This is a beautiful place for picnics and there is a nice dock on the river.
  There are a few picnic tables available to use.
  I love this site.
  It is nice to have this in Ottawa!
