    Fast service. The kale Caesar was very tasty and we enjoyed the BLT. Great cup of coffee with a great neighbourhood vibe. Thanks for being such a great third place for Hamilton!

    This is a fantastic place where people can enjoy a delicious meal or beverage while also having the option to buy a button to put in a jar that helps low-income or homeless individuals who cannot afford their meal and they can use a button instead of cash for payment. The food was way better than I expected it to be. I appreciate the idea and concept of this eatery and would love to go back.

    I absolutely love the concept of donating money to help the less fortunate get a nice meal.

    For those who aren't familiar with this;
    you're able to donate as much money as you like, let's say you donated $10, you would then take 10 buttons out of the jar located by the cashier, and drop them into the jar on the left.

    10 buttons = $10.

    People who don't have money can then come into the restaurant and use 5 buttons at the most per day, and use them to get what they'd like on the menu.

    My favourite s on the menu are their grilled cheese (ask for a pickle on the side at no cost if you're into that, they don't give them unless asked) and their sweet potato Southwestern Style Chili

    You can get an old fashioned eggs, bacon and home fries breakfast or something different. Whatever you get it is well made and tastes great. Staff are friendly. The interior is really nice with the wood tables and 12' ceilings. You can, if you wish, to do a small part to help feed someone who isn't as fortunate.

    Another pleasant visit at 541. Staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. The button concept is an easy and practical way to give back to community. To give an idea of prices, we ordered: 2 lattes, a seasonal salad, bowl of chili with a slice of bread and side of greens, a grilled cheese sandwich & $5 in buttons. With the tip it came to $40. This is a very affordable and casual place to dine. We will be back again.
