(August 30, 2019, 1:29 am)This is great spot for a picnic. Nice park with tables, port-a-loo on site, and the shale beach makes finding fossils easy to do (appreciated the interpretive display). When not choppy it's also a great place for a paddle/swim. The water is warm (well warming compared to other Georgian Bay beaches) and there are some rocks to play on. Advisable to bring water shoes.

(July 2, 2018, 8:13 pm)Cozy and there are a few flats spots on the rocks that are perfect for chairs. It also smelled like marshmallows so that's a nice bonus. There is a porta porta that was clean but that's it for bathrooms, parking was good when we went.
