  When we joined our daughter up last year, it was to allow her to spend some time with a friend who had joined the Courtice club. My husband had always wanted to get the kids involved in karate but the stories I had heard from how he was treated in karate made me hesitant. From the first class I realized that Sensei Todd has the perfect mix of being firm with the kids but still expecting the kids to ACT like kids, to be relaxed and have fun. Since then not only have we signed up our 9 year old daughter but our 5 year old son and then our 12 year old son. All 3 of them, despite being of different ages and ability levels, all love Sensei Todd's classes and look forward to each and every karate class. Todd does an amazing job with the kids and always works to help them improve, working with their individual strengths and what goals we have set out! He also has extremely fair pricing which anyone with more than one child can certainly appreciate! I couldn't imagine my kids with a better instructor than him! I would highly recommend any of his 3 locations to anyone looking for a program for adults or children of any age.

  This is the newest venue for Street Smart Defensive Arts. My kids train at both the Ajax and Whitby clubs. Being a new facility its quite nice inside, with new matted floors and a couple of bags hanging from the ceiling that the kids always line up to kick and punch.
  its an intimate space, that allows for Sensei Todds personal attention to the students.
  Sensei's workouts are wonderful and my kids usually sleep quite well after his classes. The classes vary greatly and the activities never get boring. Although smaller than the other locations its a friendly fun atmosphere. my kids love it there!
