Best cookies you will ever taste

We have been stopping in for nearly 20 years to pick up oatcakes from Mrs. P and her son. Chocolate dipped and beyond delicious. I wish I had their recipe so that we wouldn't have to wait so long in between picking up more...or if we can order online/by phone and have them sent to us that would work too. No one else has ever come close to creating the delicious flavor and perfect texture of Mrs. P's oatcakes. I am just sitting down to one now, with a cup of tea, to start my day. My daughter had a friend pick some up for her and mail them. mmmmm mmmmmm

After recently moving to the east coast from Vancouver I have set out to discover the best oatcake in Eastern Canada (my latest obsession). To date, these are probably the best! I usually don't like sweet oatcakes, but the cranberry orange has me hooked. They also sell peanut butter and a host of other flavors I have yet to try. The texture is crumbly and dry, but still moist without being chewy (I prefer a crumbly, thick texture that isn't rock hard), closer to the Scottish style. I couldn't believe my luck when I drove by this place (we had to pull an illegal U-turn and head back!). They were actually closed (late holiday Monday afternoon), but let me quickly pop in and get my oatcake fix. Am I ever glad I found this place.
