  Amazing chowder!! My favourite place to have a great bowl of soup. There is an abundance of fish and seafood in the soup, you can't go wrong. Prices are very fair, especially for the location. Great views from the patio.

  Great fresh (not frozen) seafood caught in the local area (anywhere in NS), normally caught by family members. Primary service is Gluten free. Food is superb. There is no whispering among wait staff when I ask for a Gluten free menu. Mind you, it is so much easier to ask for a Gluten free meal as more people find out about the problem.

  After a walk along the boardwalk in Halifax you might decide you would like to have some fish and chips, it is the Atlantic after all. There are plenty of places to get fish and chips on the Halifax side but if you’re craving fresh and local, then take the ferry across to Dartmouth and stop in the Norman Newman Marketplace at a little place called Evan's Seafood on the main floor.
  Although the seating appears to be cafeteria style the staff will bring your meal out to you when it's ready and check in with you to see if you have any other needs from time to time so don't forget to tip. on a nice day you can sit on the picnic tables provided out in the sunshine and by the Bay.
  The fish is locally caught and the batter is freshly made. Both are excellent. The tartar sauce is also made fresh on-site. be sure to take a taste of the fresh fish first, before you use the tartar sauce. That way you get to taste the flavor of the fish without any thing else. It is excellent. The fries are very good too. Fresh cut and fried to perfection.
  Well worth the stop.
