I can't say enough about how GREAT it was to have Mary Anne (MAS Design) help us with an unforeseen complication to "getting new appliances" for our kitchen! The fridge and stove were fine to remove and install but when it came to removing the dishwasher, we found out that it was put in BEFORE the floor was laid so sat about 5/8 inches below the floor! This meant either cutting out the floor or lifting the counter-top to remove and replace the dishwasher! We chose to replace the counter-top, as it also had not been installed poorly from a previous owner and we would have to do it eventually (though we hadn't counted on it right after purchasing 3 new appliances!) Mary Anne was my first call, as she had done work for us in the past. She really "gets" the need to keep the cost down while still replacing the counter-top with something that "fit" our older house and would last for the long-term. She understood well and incorporated our tastes and even made suggestions for improvement to the new counter-top(making the ledge rounded and a little wider on the open side) that would not increase the cost too much. She chose and worked with a trusted and very efficient installer, who did a perfect job! The end result has been AMAZING and my husband and I comment regularly about how grateful we are for the new counter-top! Mary Anne stayed on top of the project for us and kept us informed so we never had to guess what was going on. She is my immediate "go to" and I would recommend her to anyone needing design, reno or construction work done because of her consciousnesses, connections and team approach.

We worked with Mary-Anne on a renovation project as a contractor and were very happy with the high level of professionalism and dedication to the project she showed. Also, we found that she was very open to our thoughts and opinions on the project while still keeping the overall client satisfaction and high level finished product in mind.
I would highly recommend working with Mary-Anne

Mary Anne is not only a delight to work with but the end product is beautiful and functional. She was just what we needed for the partial renos of our new-to-us townhome. Her renderings can be followed to a T by homeowner and contractor.

Our original 80s-style guest bathroom is now modern, spa-like and a wonderful space for guests.

On a large empty wall going from dining room to family room, Mary Anne designed an original bar that wows visitors (and us!).

The upstairs storage room with wire shelves was an area where one would keep the door closed. With Mary Anne’s transformation, it is now an attractive, functional office space with lots of storage in a beautiful cabinet and a wide barn door that is kept open.

To our amazement, with just minor alterations to the powder room, one’s eye is now drawn outward giving the appearance of a much wider space.

We also wanted (re)decorating and a fresh look for our new home as some of our possessions were 40 years old. For items that we couldn’t part with, Mary Anne creatively incorporated them, giving them new life. It was fun shopping together for furnishings, lighting, rugs, etc.!

Mary Anne is a very creative, professional and energetic person who works with the client to make the home suit that unique family. Thanks, Mary Anne, for making our home truly ours and such a joy to be in!

The exceptional service we received from designer Mary Anne Spears was amazing. She certainly was a pleasure and joy to work with.
Mary Anne is full of knowledge, creativity and talent.
She turned our on suite and powder room into two stunning rooms.
Starting off with her design Renderings, which were outstanding.
Giving us two designs to choose from and covering all our needs.
Looking after contractors, trades people, booking appointments and
making sure everyone was on time for the job. Mary Anne treated the renovation as if it was her own home.
A great bargain hunter which helped me stay on budget.
On completion she stepped in completing deficiencies herself.
We were able to trust her decisions knowing the renovations was in excellent hands. Making it possible for us to leave on 1 months holiday while renovation were completed. At the same time keeping in touch with
us and over seeing the project through too completion.
We feel blessed to to have found Mary Anne as our designer.
She is one one of the best with incredible talent.
Looking forward to using her expertise for our next renovation.
We highly recommend Mary Anne and appreciate the hard work she
