(January 26, 2019, 5:35 pm)Meat the Butcher is one of the best Butcher shops I have ever been to. They have amazing prices for the quality of the cuts that they have and they always go for quality versus quantity which you often get when going to other places that offer cheaper cuts like Costco or Superstore. They also have very exotic spices that are quite difficult to find and the staff is always helpful and always ask what you're cooking. I highly recommend them!!!

(June 2, 2018, 2:34 am)Sam and Caroline are our family’s go-to butchers. They source local product, care about their customers, and provide knowledgeable and friendly service. Sam introduced me to lamb from Harmony farms in Kamloops, pork from Geldermans in Abbotsford, and other local BC product. His traditional South African boerewors is also a family favorite. (hint - only buy sausage from a trusted source….) I recommend his whole roasted chicken for weekdays when you need a glass of wine and a decent (quick) meal for the family. Sam is also my go-to guy for special occasions. When I need to sous-vide a turkey, I talk to Sam. When I want to treat my Dad on his birthday to a porchetta, Sam does all the hard work. When it is time for Vijs lamb popsicles, Sam frenches the rack. Bottom line is that he is more expensive than the box stores around, but the personal touch, extra service, and the quality meat makes the difference.

(February 19, 2018, 10:46 pm)I’d agree with other reviews. Very knowledgeable butcher. Nice to be able to speak to the butcher and know where your meat products are coming from. And buying deli meats like roast beef that are actually cooked in house for pennies more than the grocery store is amazing! They’re ground beef and other meats are far superior to the grocery store and prices the same. Support local businesses like this !
