Bruce Stampede

The Bruce Stampede is a fantastic event. This year was our first time, when my mom mentioned she's wanted to go since she was a kid, I knew I had to make it happen and am so glad I did! I called the number on their Facebook page because I wasn't sure how to get tickets, and a friendly helpeful lady let me know that I will be able to purchase them at the gate. When we arrived it was busy, but easy to find a parking spot. We even showed up 15 minutes prior to the rodeo kickoff, plus all parking and camping was free. Gate service was super friendly, quick, and they went above and beyond to help us out. If was cash only but there was an ATM. For the rodeo we really liked how they presented the winner of each event with their prize at the end of their event instead of a long boring presentation at the end. The rodeo moved along efficiently, it was obviously super well organized, all of the amenities that you would want at a rodeo were there, atm, food, booze, shopping, bathrooms, shaded areas, etc. There was lots of wheelchair accessible space at the fence to watch from, even though the terrain is grass and a bit bumpy. The audio/sound system was fantastic and crystal clear, and they did a great job of the music, great songs and you could hear it well but it wasn't obnoxious. There was tons of bleacher seating available on both sides of the area. If you're planning on sitting for the whole rodeo it is nice to have a blanket or something comfy to sit on, and just mind the heat and remember to hydrate when you come out because if it wasn't smoky this year we would have been cookin, there isn't any shade in the stands, but there is in the tents behind. Some people sat in their lawn chairs under the stands. Overall it was a positive friendly happy crowd of good people, fantastic rodeo, well-run event, that made for an amazing time with memories that will last a lifetime.

This is the place that introduced me to rodeo as a kid. And I have to say the people who organize this event are still just as wonderful as they always were. 2021 was a hit!
