(August 16, 2018, 6:56 pm)In August, willowherbs are fully open that makes the trail even more colorful, especially when shiny red color of the flowers come with the white snow capped Mt. Baker and Coleman Glacier.

(September 8, 2017, 1:43 am)Nice hike on Heliotrope ridge trail. Last creek crossing was tough. I was wearing Keen water shoes that helped me cross the creek. Probably 85% of hikers were unable to cross the glacier fed creek. Beautiful view of Colman glacier. Very crowded trail.
