(March 26, 2018, 5:59 pm)My dog and I had a great visit here, granted we only came in for a physical checkup and her basic rabies shots. My previous companion died in a veterinarians hands after being overly mis-prescribed antibiotics and steroids so its taken me some time to even be able to walk into a clinic again, without feeling waves of oncoming PTSD. Im still processing the experience years and years after the fact and haven't felt comfortable with veterinarians here on San Juan Island. Or at least till now! At Islands Veterinary Clinic, my worries were quickly put to rest after meeting Sonja+staff. And even my super-uber-sensitive-startled-by-a-falling-leaf 6yr old pit/boxer was at ease during the appointment.

(December 29, 2017, 5:28 pm)Dr. Sonja is the best! There may be slightly cheaper vets but that is not a very important factor if you love your critters as much as I do and want them to have the very best care. Dr. Sonja is really smart and she and her whole staff genuinely care. Can't say enough!!
