  Residents are treated with caring, compassion and respect by the wonderful staff. The residents greatly benefit from the frequent one on one attention and low resident to staff ratio. When my dear friend arrived from the hospital, she was non-communicative and had stopped eating and drinking. She wasn't expected to live more than a few days. She responded to the wonderful care she receives at Riverbend by deciding to live! She talks, she eats, she drinks and is enjoying a quality of life that is only possible when the carers understand the nature of dementia and work with it rather than against it. I cannot praise them highly enough!

  Just a note of appreciation to all the staff at Riverbend Crossing: Before choosing Riverbend, I spent two days going from care home to care home. I started out at Riverbend and ended up there (never looked back). There is NO comparison to any other facility that we looked at. It has been a positive experience for all our family.

  One year ago today, my husband, Leonard Schuett died while receiving palliative care at Riverbend. I just want you to know how much I and my family appreciate the wonderful care that he received. Both you and your staff showed such compassion for not only Leonard but for us survivors who were dealing with him in his final days.

  We are so appreciative and thankful to the staff of Riverbend Crossing Memory Care Community who cared for our mom during the last few weeks of her life. Mom was nearing 97 years of age when she passed away on December 8, 2017. Even though mom only spent four short weeks at Riverbend Crossing, our family was amazed at the level of care and support for mom during her last days. I know we are no different than other families that want to be assured that their loved ones are cared for, supported and safe around the clock. We as a family felt that reassurance at Riverbend the minute that we walked through the front doors.
  
  At the time we realized that mom needed increased care, we were worried, stressed and frantically looking for other care options for her. We had heard good things about Riverbend from other families and when we met with their Community Relations Manager, he completely understood and empathized with our situation. He listened to our worries, he took the time to guide us through the home and the four communities, and provided detailed information about the staff, the medical personnel and level of support. Instantly we felt at ease and couldn't move mom in quick enough
  
  Riverbend's level of service and care is exceptional from the administration staff, to the medical personnel, to the assistants, the chef and even the in-house hair stylist. Each and every staff member took a genuine interest in mom. From the first day that mom moved in, we noticed the staff were so engaged and wanted to know mom's favorite foods, her favorite TV shows and her usual routine from morning to bedtime. They looked after mom like she was their own Grandma, and when we visited we always received an update on her day.
  
  We are very thankful that we moved mom to Riverbend Crossing, even though her time there was short. As a family, we feel comfort in knowing that mom received exceptional care and support during her last days.
  
  That's all that a family can ask for.
