UPDATE: recently, my mother has passed away.

Preston Park 1 made my mom’s wish to stay at home possible.

Kelly’s team of Care Aids and RNs have been so kind, caring and professional towards my mother and provided her the additional care she needed in order to allow us to grant her this wish.

I am very grateful to Preston Park 1 (including Jody, Kristen, Kelly and all of the staff) for treating my mom with dignity, respect, and compassion at the end of her life.

I would highly recommend Preston Park 1

My mom was recovering from cancer surgery and deemed at risk to live independently. Preston Park 1 has helped establish a new home for my mom that is safe and enriched.

I no longer need to worry that her needs are not being met. We have introduced services to assist in her daily life. Slowly she is becoming accustomed to living here and the services are slowly being withdrawn as she gets back to doing things on her own.

It is reassuring to me that help just down the hall if my mom requires it.

Thank you for maintaining a quality of life for my mom.

I've just had the pleasure of spending 4 weeks at Preston Park I as a nurse companion with one of the residents. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful interior with surprising ammenities such as an indoor swimming pool, two libraries, hairdresser and beautician room to name a few. I found the meals to be exceptional by institutional standards with every meal served with very polite and accommodating staff. Each meal is a dining experience with choices and linens. The activity staff are so upbeat and there is always something to do if you choose to partake. Every staff member that I met was more than willing to go the extra mile to make the residents feel like they are in their own home. I found the complimentary car and bus service helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend this facility and would have no qualms at all placing my loved ones in Preston Park.

I have been a resident at Preston Park for six months and know that I have made a good decision to make my home here. The facilities are modern, well kept and offer a pleasant place to live. The staff and management are friendly and caring. They call you by name and are truly interested in you and your well being. The meals offer a nice variety and almost always provide you with a choice of meals at Lunch and Dinner. The activities are plentiful, varied and fun.

Preston Park 1 is a wonderful place to live. If you’re considering a move to Retirement Living, come and visit this wonderful facility.

My mom has been a resident of Preston Park 1 since February 2019. It was quite an adjustment for my mom to go from independent living in a townhouse to dependent living in a retirement residence. There were tears, confusion and anxiety as my mom tried to adjust to her new home and her new realities as an adult with diminished capacity. There were also many moments of uncertainty for us as her family as well because we simply did not have the expertise to care for mom.
Seven months later, mom is very happy and this is home and central to all of this is the leadership of Jodi Gronsdahl, Executive Director. While Preston Park has all of the amenities of a high class hotel, it is the culture of the residence created by Jodi and all the staff, at every level, that make this residence a home. Yes, Jodi is a manager but she is also very much a leader who has great compassion for the residents, endless patience for family members who are trying to come to terms with the changes in their loved ones and unwavering respect for every person who works with her and passes through the doors of the residence. She is never too busy to be available to those who need her, too tired to listen to one more story, even though she may have heard it many times before, or too distracted to give hugs and a caring, attentive ear to those who need it. The qualities of character and kindness that Jodi demonstrates in her day to day routine are not lost on the staff, at every level, and they respond in kind to residents and family and friends. What she expects from others she embraces in herself and models every day.
As a business model with Jodi at the helm I would suspect it is one that enjoys a foundation of success but this is not a "business" to Jodi. It is a calling from one who is honest and ethical, sensitive and responsive to others, and supportive of residents, families, employees AND the organization. Having had many opportunities for conversation with Jodi these past months as well as opportunities to spend time with her, I can attest that her optimism and hope are contagious and genuine. Jodi is an exceptional leader and I know that with Jodi and her team advocating for my mom, Preston Park will be a home in which she can live with dignity for the duration of her time surrounded by people who are genuinely concerned guardians for her health and well being.

Preston Park 1 was a life saver for us when our mother was recovering from a surgical procedure. They were wonderfully supportive and the medical staff provided everything our mother needed. After the first two weeks in respite care, our mother was healthy and felt better then she had in years. We booked an additional week of respite, and started exploring the idea of her moving in permanently. The Lifestyle Director Kristen was so accommodating and helped us find the right suite. The staff are wonderful and the food quality and service is uncomparable. Ever changing planned activities has helped mom adjust to the permanent move, where she has made friends and has reacquainted with friends from her younger years. Amazing that she has found connections of some sort to so many people living there. We now have piece of mind knowing that she is living independently but has the support of staff when needed. Thanks you Preston Park 1! I recommend this community to everyone and truly believe it is a great place to live.
