A beautiful old mansion created for one of the most influential men in Québec at the time. Now you can go on a guided tour (free if you have a parks discovery pass) through the bedrooms, dining room and lounges of the Canadian bourgeois. Incredible interior in some of the rooms. The gardens are also great for a stroll.

Well kept and nicely manicured grounds. This is an interesting historic site that everyone who is in the area should visit at least once. Quiet when I visited, overlooking the river on one side and the forest and hotel grounds on the other sides. Visited in the summer time, however looks like winter activities would be quite interesting as well. Recommended.

Bit of a walk in a trail to reach this site - about 1km or so so nothing terrible. Was disappointed that most of the site was actually closed off when we visited. With the guided tour, we were only allowed to visit half a dozen rooms at ground level and an empty library. The chapel and other floors of the manor were closed which really didn't leave much left to see. You can easily be in and out in an hour or so which left us a little bitter.

Otherwise our tour guide was great and quite knowledgeable!
