(September 6, 2021, 9:05 pm)Doing what they can to keep going which is commendable. This is a converted senior facility. My wife didn't like it for the institutional feel. I loved it for the same reason. They need to fix the elevator. The room had a little balcony and overlooked a field of wheat. The bed was comfortable. There was no TV, which was fine (l hate TV). The wifi allowed us to watch YouTube nonsense. The grounds need some work for sure. Staff was VERY helpful (to a guy who speaks 30 words in French). The food was fantastic. I had the 1/2 chicken avec poutine which was the best meal l had on my 2 week vacation. It is only a short drive from the hwy. The variety of beers was excellent and l had each, one good, and one OK brewski. We were tired and missed the band but the atmosphere in the pub was one of warmth and revelry. The whale hunting story gets it a point on its own.

(August 14, 2021, 7:11 pm)Summer review. My understanding this place has a theme its going for. Something between biker bar and underground music bar. Outside is very sad and abandoned looking. Also no A/C just a fans.
Now Beer a lot of different selection. Never had a chance to try amber ales or stouts ( summer)
They have a good selection summer light beers. There is a flight you can try. Unfortunately you can get any to go. Bottling machine is broken.

(August 1, 2021, 2:04 pm)A bit off the TransCanada, the beer is pretty decent, the food was good (poutine, BBQ chicken, beef and pork). Hotel / Hostel is pretty plain and a bit dated fine for a single night but wouldn't recommend for a longer stay, no AC or TVs in the rooms but they do provide fans and fridge. Room was clean and staff were accommodating. For what they offer everything seems priced more on the upper end and delivers more on the midrange but they were busy so who can blame them.

(July 29, 2021, 8:44 pm)Good value and location for someone like me travelling and hiking with a dog. You can hear through the walls a bit, but they give you earplugs lol. I had a very small room with bathroom, no TV. Comfy bed. The quiet region is amazing and that's what you go to see. Fun beers in the microbrewery.
