Dépanneur Le Pick Up

Friendly atmosphere with so many great choices off the menu and on the shelves (they also double as a dépanneur, in case you didn’t get that from the title ;) They have the best fake meat/beyond viande burger I’ve had so far. My partner and I both ordered the Big Bernie Mac (BBM) and ate it so fast because it was so good that we didn’t get a chance to take a photo of it! Listen to me very carefully, I was never in this scene of the status or the fame. When you guys reach out to me and ask if I eat for free- You might wanna sit down and reevaluate why you wanna do this to begin with. Come talk to me when your credit card statement is starting to look like a restaurant menu. ????

When people ask me where they should go eat and the feedback I get in return is positive? THAT’S what truly make me happy: To be transparent and be reliable. In all honesty, some hidden gems out there just deserve as much recognition as the big boys in the food industry.

Le Pick Up looks like your regular convenient store, a little raw. But when they tell you to not judge a book by its cover, they weren’t joking. With rock music blasting in the background, while you’re sitting by the counter- you know this is the real deal.
Juicy, tender, and most importantly mouthwatering- this $10 Cuban sandwich is THE winner. I always have this idea in my head: It this place worth the drive? The answer is yes.

Great, great, great homemade sandwiches! Almost every one of them has it's vegetarian version. Also good selection of craft beers. Staff is always friendly, and they have cool little patio for the summertime.

Great food, great zines, great atmosphere. Not so good at cooking eggs for breakfast, but that doesn't stop me from putting down five stars for some of the best sandwiches in town. Pretty sure the entire property value of Mile-Ex depends on DLPU being so darn with it.

The downside is that it is a little pricey and that parking in the area is very difficult. But my partner and I got coupons for this place, we ordered 3 items, their version of the Big Mac, a polish sandwich and a breakfast sandwich, and we were very pleased. The food is what it is, greasy and rich. It lives in its own lane and it succeeds in its goal. This is not a place for a family event lets say, but when looking for fast food or getting a bite with a friend, Le Pick Up would be at the top of my list.
