  My absolute favourite restaurant in Montreal. Easy, simple, casual. No frills! Plates are a must! Will always come back. Always an easy decision in my eyes.

  Good but really overhyped in my opinion. Food and staff were good. Ordering process is super confusing the first time you go. No menus, just a big board and order from the counter so it gets a little chaotic when there's a line. We got a bottle of wine and the wine was served in water cups. For the price we paid, I would have expected atleast a wine glass.

  Love the food! This restaurant is a can't miss eating experience for any visitors to Montreal or locals! Large shared plates are delicious. Bottles of juice can be mixed with your alcohol of choice. Worth every penny! I go to Sumac every time I visit Montreal. 6 stars out of 5.

  Great meal and service! I’d been looking forward to eating here for a while and my expectations were exceeded. Perfect portions and great sharing plates too. Don’t forget to get Sumac Fries!!!

  Giant pitas stuffed with chicken kebab meat, reminded me of so many good kebabs in the UK (this sounds like an insult, it really is not. I bloody love kebabs, even when I've not had any beer). We needed some food pretty quick because time was running out for the thing we were going to when we saw Sumac and that it was counter service, we figured we'd give it a go, I will happily make plans to head back here at some point.
