(August 26, 2019, 5:07 am)Wonderful place! I have a lot of ancestry from this island. I highly recommend going here and visiting the rest of the island. I descend from Savard, Desgagnes, Desmeules and many other families. The miller at the time of my visit in 2012 was a Desgagnes, so a cousin of some sort. It was interesting to see a working mill and to walk where my ancestors lived. The ferry ride was awesome and the ferry was named after my ggggggrandfather several times over, Joseph Savard.
