The Oak Ridges Retirement Community is a beautiful place to live. Amazing amenities, including a pool, fitness centre, fine dining, pub, theatre and spa. Caring staff and a wonderful community of residents!
There isn't enough staff to cover 3 floors of residence. Usually 1 nurse and 2 PSW for all three floors of residence on any given day. The Head nurse and Head of Administration don't give a damn about your loved ones. They will convince you to get your loved one put on the lock-down floors which costs an additional $1500 a month to the $4200 monthly fee your paying. Then your loved-one isn't allowed out - ever ! They break their will to live. The place is terrible. This residence takes in short term boarders for a few days or a week or two. The food is terrible. Unless you hire your own PSW to care for the needs of your loved one, getting good regular care at this place, just doesn't happen. AVOID .
