Dr. Howell is truly a fantastic dermatologist, with friendly and kind bedside manner. I was referred to his office for two suspicious moles as well as a minor cosmetic procedure. His receptionist and nurse are both very welcoming and friendly. Though it can take a few minutes to see him, I appreciate that he is not rushing his patients and is taking the necessary time with them to address their concerns. Dr. Howell expertly removed my two moles and at the 2-week stitches-removal appointment, he informed me that one was in fact an early-stage melanoma (melanoma in situ). He explained to me that I would be just fine, and his demeanour and disposition were very reassuring. At that appointment, I was prepped for a wide local excision to remove extra tissue around the original incision site (the standard treatment). We had a great chat during the surgery and a few laughs! When I uncovered the incision to re-dress it later that evening, I was incredibly impressed with his attention to detail. The sutures were evenly spaced and very neat, and the edges lined up beautifully. It was truly expertly done and I am confident that his talent and technique will result in minimal scarring! Thank you Dr. Howell! I will see you in 6 months! :)
