小锅兒 Lil' Pot

Being from Richmond Vancouver, I’ve had my fair share of hot pot. I’ve tried every hot pot restaurant in Waterloo and this was the best hot pot I’ve had in my life. Everything was so delicious and the quality of the ingredients are on another level. We got the regular menu and ordered a plate of wagyu to try. It was so worth it. It was the most delicious hot pot meat I’ve ever had.

The service was awesome, the staff and wonder were so friendly. They made wonderful recommendations on what broth to order and the sauce combos. They also personally informed us of 17 ingredients available in the kitchen that were not on the menu yet including frog legs, beef balls, watercress etc.

Quality beef and lamb. The PEI grass fed beef is delicious. The broth is good. Lil' Pot uses the kind of quality materials one would use at home. Satisfied.

(If you shop at Brady's, this statement is literally true for you. Lil' Pot sources their beef through Brady's -- a local hallmark of quality.)

I wish they had a better store front. Their food and service deserve a better venue.

EDIT: Went for a second time. Food is still just as great. Service is still exceptional.

The owner is very nice and welcoming. Gave good description of the food options which were all very good quality. Good variety of meat, vegetables and sauces. Free soft drinks too. Restaurant is slightly small and some people may find it cramped but I didn't mind.

My husband and I tried Lil Pot yesterday late afternoon/early evening. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and explained all of the menu options to us. My husband and I lived in China for two years and we have searched for authentic hotpot in the kw area but have never found anything as good...until now! I had the bone broth and my husband had the spicy broth and both were delicious. The meat and veggie options were large and we enjoyed everything we ordered. There are so many sauce options and soft drinks are included in the price. We are thrilled to enjoy our favourite food locally now and not have to drive to Toronto for hotpot ever again!

Debated between here and morals village and decided to come here, no regrets. Meat quality was excellent and fresh produce. Broth was really good, i had the spicy and sukiyaki broth, i usually prefer spicy broths but the sukiyaki one was amazing. I did not even need a sauce for my food with that broth. Very friendly staff and reasonable price.
