(January 27, 2019, 9:37 am)I used to go to a church that was across town (it was my grandparents church) before switching to this one due to travel issues with the bus, as well as proximity. This church is one of the best ones I've ever attended.
It IS 2 different congregations that attend this church though. Sunday mornings are reserved for a non-denominational group that gathers under the name "pioneer Park church of God". (This is the group/congregation I attend) Sunday evenings are a gathering of Roman-Lutherans who I've yet to meet.....
The pastor that resides over Sunday mornings is one of the best I've ever met. Some pastors are all talk. This guy LIVES BY EXAMPLE. (Considering one of the 2 of the most important biblical commandments are to treat others as you'd like to be treated, this is a breath of fresh air.)
Amazing guy, amazing congregation- and the messages are always pertinent to real life & living life as a Christian. Highly recommend Sunday morning attendance.
There's that-and the first Sunday of every month, we all go downstairs for a potluck ????
It's intimidating being "the new kid".... But worth it. -
