Keep on the uniform civilian instructor. Been there years and have often had trouble getting uniform pieces.
I was in cadets years ago when i was 14 and it was a great experience you learn so many useful skills and in the summer when camp comes around it was amazing you got to make new friends have a good time and what i remember at the end there was a dance. I am definately putting my kids in in the next 3 years and cant wait.
My son goes to cadets every Wednesday. They have excellent friendly staff and my son loves going there. They also have field trips and camps and it helps kids build social skills. After joining cadets he has somewhat become more responsible.
The cadet corps has a biathlon team, marksman team, drill team and band. Lot's of great training available to a child willing to put in the effort. My son hasn't been in it too long and is a bit shy and awkward, so I was very happy to see him excited to go every Wednesday night.
