(May 7, 2018, 3:16 pm)Always feel appreciated as a "musician with The Galt Kiltie Band"when we play at The Navy Memorial Day outside at Churchill Park in May(yearly) by The Navy Club.The speeches, poetry, singing and LIVE music including The Last Post and 2 minutes silence, and the placing of the carnations in the water to represent each WW2 lost ship is a lovely Remembrance Service .The Navy Club on Cambridge St. treats us to a wonderful buffet, a drink and a dram to toast with.The upstairs hall is filled with a jovial crowd of veterans, family and friends.We are treated very well there by all and it is my favourite memorial service of the year to honour the Canadian war effort and lives lost for our freedom.Thank you Cambridge Naval Association for hosting this and having us be part of it.
