旺巴蜀·钢管总厂·小郡肝串串香 Old Iron Hotpot

Now I'm not a hot pot diner but my son-in-law is! So, it's not nice to turn down a dinner invitation on his turf.

Google maps couldn't find this place using the English search of Old Iron Hotpot, but Yelp did!

Tonight is the last indoor dining experience because the Province has shut it down again in Toronto, Peel and Ottawa because of COVID-19 spike. Yikes!

The format here is to order a base hot pot broth; spicy, tomato, coconut, meat bone, etc. Essentially everything else is an add-on that usually comes as 6-12 pieces of what you want and the prices vary according (I.e. 8 shrimps, 10 chicken skewers) as you can see in my photos.

The hot pot is placed on an electric element with a control pad to start (...one of 3 temp settings) & stop the cooking.

You control the pace of what you drop into the broth and when you take the ingredients out.

A small tray of fruit is included along with all the water w/lemon you can drink.

Service was excellent and so was the whole meal. I actually loved the dining experience and was surprised that 2 hours flew by quickly.

Be prepared to pay $50 per person which I think is okay!

Great variety of food selections. Recommend the store special chicken coconut soup base if you can’t take spicy soup. Service is good and quick.

Awesome atmosphere, night lights tents in parking lot, street food vibes, huge menu selection, fresh and yummie food. Lamb and chicken gizzard favourites, excellent veggie options. Highly recommend and will gladly come back soon for more beer!

The best spicy skewers and bbq place in Toronto. Great service and reasonable price with good quality of meat. You won’t be disappointed.
