  Karibu means welcome in Kiswahili, and the owners here really make you feel welcome. The food was great. They also take really great care in packaging the food so it tastes great by the time you get home. Asante!

  Dare I say this is one of Toronto's best hidden gems. If you've got a craving for Zanzibari Mix, this is one of the only places i'd get it in Toronto. Owner Mohamed is a great guy, and his wife and him have great cooking skills it's very reflective of what a traditional store in Zanzibar would be like. Their Muthyia, Haleem,/Khichro, Biryani, pilau and other foods also quite delicious. The shop itself also has a really unique offering on packaged snacks as well! It was 99.9% similar to what we used to have; meaning it's authentic East African and East Indian style.
  
  Also, keep in mind, this is just a take out counter and a small general trading store. This is not a restaurant despite the name.
  
  I have made a big order with them and will update on the food and service, after I have received the order.
