I was able to walk in and see the doctor within a very short time. The clinic is new and clean. The reception staff are very friendly. There is even an attached pharmacy which is very convenient. It is easily accessible by car however, it is a bit of a walk to nearest TTC bus stop. The doctor had me go out of my way to come back into the clinic to discuss x-ray/ultrasound results that were NORMAL. Not only is this a waste of my time and unnecessarily anxiety inducing, but it certainly clogs up the healthcare system and adds unnecessary charges/costs to OHIP and essentially our tax expenditure. I understand that results cannot be disclosed over the phone however, if everything is NORMAL then there is NOTHING to disclose. As I've learned from every single clinic I've visited over the last 30 years, "No news is good news". If the patients' well-being is truly the concern here, a simple follow-up phone call to ask them how they are doing would suffice. Again, this would not entail disclosing any results since there is nothing to disclose. There's no need to charge OHIP for this.
