(March 13, 2018, 12:06 am)We have purchased a few carpets from Carpetman and have been satisfied with every purchase but one. We phoned to add an order of underlay to a hall runner we had ordered earlier that same day. It was suggested that regular underlay was too dangerous for that type of application and a different type was recommended. The different type turned out to be very similar to what my wife buys at the Dollar Store to line our cupboard shelves with. The stuff works great on shelves, but it really sucks on floors. The underlay moves about on the floor and the carpet moves about on the underlay. Everything about the stuff is cheap, except for the amount we paid for it and it turned out that the carpet was actually safer on its own, so we threw away the mesh underlay. In the greater scheme of things, it wasn’t a big deal, but it has stopped us from going back to Carpetman again.
