Best Western Plus Executive Inn

I have here a couple of times now.

Covid-19 has turned the breakfast buffet into something where you go grab some food and head back to your room to sit down. The food is okay, nothing that you wouldn't expect based on current conditions.

The rooms are well appointed, they are clean, the beds are comfortable.

Everything you could or should expect at the price point.

Great stay, very clean and all the staff members were accommodating. Renovated rooms with updated decor. Fast check-in given that pre-registration was completed online before arrival. COVID restrictions, so pool and fitness area were closed. For breakfast, near the lobby area just needed to tell the staff which food items you wanted (eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal, fruit, pastries, juice, etc.) takeout back to eat in the room as there is no dine-in available. Free parking, close to Highway 401. Would return again if staying in Scarborough.

The hotel was clean and the room was fine. Overall the staff were good, especially Jessa-Marie at the front desk. Why I have an issue is that I had to check out a little later and had one day left on my stay due to a family emergency. While I was prepared to eat the one night cost, when I went to the front desk to get my bill the clerk said they would email it to me as they would adjust the one night and refund the $150 (approx) which I thought was very good of them and generous. However I got my bill and it is the two nights charged, had they been honest about that their rating would have been much higher but to me this is dishonesty by telling a guest one thing and doing another. This is just a warning to others t be cautious in believing what they tell you.

Nice clean hotel with very spacious rooms. Close to many restaurants. Great staff.

We only spent one night there as it was a quick getaway after a trip to the zoo. The hotel was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was quiet. Breakfast was very surprising.....when I called to inquire, I was told breakfast was a couple of fruits and a muffin or something in a bag to go. When my husband got back to the room I was shocked that he had scrambled eggs, sausage, croissants, english muffins, danish, granola bars, fruit and coffee. Nice job Best Western. There were some things not available (like the pool) but people have to realize there are Covid restrictions and there is nothing the hotel can do about that. The mall close by was great. We'll definitely be coming back to the hotel and the area.
