The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mansion

They have handled the whole pandemic thing very nicely.
It’s still super busy so you’d wanna call for reservation ahead.

I absolutely love the Keg Mansion Toronto! It is an incredible historic place with fascinating haunted history which was enthusiastically explained to us by a staff member. Definitely worth a visit, especially slightly closer to closing time when it is not as busy. We had our perfectly prepared meal in the posh and comfortable lounge area upstairs then explored the place room by room, each with its own unique decor. The free parking was also a huge bonus especially in the heart of Toronto where parking is tremendously expensive!

Dinner was excellent! We had the escargot and garlic bread to start and both had the rib steaks with the sides, the seasoning on the steaks were just right and they were cooked to specifications.

Amid the uncertainty due to the Corona-19 virus, this Saturday evening’s visit went quickly as there was no wait for a table.

The servers were friendly and attentive; but the real difference is the location. This old home turned restaurant reflects the way homes were built in a bygone era that had pride in the craftsmanship.

Parking, free for Keg patrons after 4:30, is a bit limited and you must note that this location is not suitable for those that may have physical limitations. The washrooms are located on the second floor, accessible by stairs and the doors do not have automated assistance.

It was a pleasant experience dining at the Keg Mansion. We pass by every now and then I admire the architecture of the building. We finally booked a reservation and went for a date night. The interiors did not disappoint! Staff are nice and helpful. Food were cooked nicely too.

We went there for dinner on a Tuesday and it was very busy... the historic place and architecture is quite unique and elegant.... the staff and waiter were really nice and professional... when we sat down, it was a bit load so we asked the waiter if he can find us another place and he has quickly done so... we had the best onion soup i have ever had... really tasty and excellent value for money... we also had garlic shrimp which was good and stuffed mushroom caps which was very delicious... i have got then a Rare Rib steak which was perfectly cooked... we really enjoyed everything and we will certainly go back again soon
