I came across this place while driving to another neighborhood for an afternoon walk, and it caught my eye immediately, so I turned my car around and parked and decided to go here instead. I am SO glad I did! I love me a good coffee shop, and I also love jazz, so I saw this as a sign. The shop was so spacious with plenty of tables and room to spread out. We opted to stay by the front door so we could watch the birds and the traffic go by, and get some sun. I had a delicious cup of chai, and my company got coffees and cappuccinos. The dessert case was calling my name, so I got a salted caramel chocolate tart and split it with my friend. I am glad I did since it was so filling, and expertly made. I wish I had the room to eat everything in that case! The background music was exceptional- not just jazz, but jazz inspired sounds, with a mix of instrumental and vocals. It was the perfect blend- exactly the kind of vibe I try to make at home, but it’s never as relaxing as it is when I am out. The interior was cozy, warm, and slightly eclectic but not in a disharmonious way. The smell of freshly ground coffee permeated the entire place and the large professional machines were a nice touch to see when I walked in. This was one of the best places I have been to in Toronto, because of the feel and the vibe, and also the quality of the offerings. I wish I was here for a night concert which was advertised on their flyers. Oh, and the staff- I can’t forget them- they were incredibly lovely, very sweet and friendly. They laughed quietly at our inappropriate conversation that we were having nearby (the cafe was empty so we felt free) and that made us feel like we were part of their group.

Great coffee! Good food...fair price...they even serve the food at your table! Washroom was clean & well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Above all the light jazz made the ambience very peaceful. Definitely recommend it if you are looking to spend a calm day!

Walked in hoping for a good decaf. A rare find these days. Probably the best decaf coffee I have ever had and the people that run this cute little coffee shop couldn’t be nicer. I will be in again.

I'd love to love this place...
They have a great hummus and avocado sandwich, the coffee is decent, and the staff is usually very cheerful. The space could definitely use renovations, especially the washrooms, but I don't even mind that.
What I do mind is the constant sweeping and mopping. I swear it doesn't end! I typically go once every two weeks since I moved to Toronto, and EVERY time, they were mopping the floor like their life depended on it. It's never quick, and it's never subtle. It's the kind of clean-up you do once the store is closed (moving chairs out of the way, full body sweeping, literally scrubbing the floor with the mop). It's very distracting and makes you feel like you're in the way, like they're closing in 5 minutes and they want you out. It doesn't really seem to matter what time of day it is, chances are someone is cleaning the floor. Today, the woman doing it pushed her mop right against my feet and my table; I didn't want to make a scene, so I just left. The whole thing is so strange...
Beyond that, they do have musicians in fairly often if you enjoy that kind of thing. Personally, I find the space very small already, so musicians tend to make it worse.
All in all, besides the mop anomaly, it's a pretty good neighbourhood place to have a coffee.

This is a really neat space with lots of room and a very relaxed vibe. The interior is larger than the outside would suggest and although it's busy, it still manages to remain chill and calm. They've got a pretty extensive food menu and some nice baked goods at the cash but unfortunately their brew coffee is a bit underwhelming. I'll try the dark next time but the medium was a bit watery. All in all, a really cool, unpretentious coffee spot that I'll likely get back to.
