I’ve seen about a thousand different therapists over the years. Clearly not literally, but you get the idea. I have never seen one as skilled, thorough, smart and kind as Dr. Hakim. She is a rare gem. Every session, I seem to leave with an aha! that I didn’t see coming. I cannot recommend her enough.
Its an investment to see a psychologist but effectual for me to discuss my problems with an expert. it was slow at the outset since I was slow to share for some reason but then it became a normal part of life.
Took me time to get a handle on how Therapy works and Im glad I listened to my pal's advice [also a shrink] on being patient and establishing a bond with my therapist before foraging for the next magic bullet. Insecurities made me look at previous helpers with paranoia and the delusion that they should liberate & rescue me in a few appointments. The realization that I never took respoinsiblity and blamed others as a distraction from looking inside was big. There is always hope and its good to feel it. love.
I’m quite impressed by this clinic & recommend it for psychological services. Staff are cordial & welcoming; the only drawback is they get busy in evenings & you need to wait for questions & payment. Therapy is a big part of my life and imho it is helpful fore everyone to examine their lives with the help of a professional.
