Alternity - Elixir Bar and Lounge

This place intrigued me even from the outside! There are floor cushions if you want to sit cross-legged with a group of friends, or wooden stumps/tables to sit at. They have a plethora of books that you are free to read, and a couple of board games. It is very atmospheric and calming. The drinks are amazing too! It is a little hidden, but worth the go.

Went with friends to listen to Kirtan a la Manta Jae but now that I am aware of this magical place, I definitely will be visiting again to enjoy some food! It has such a serene vibe and SO many books!

This is a very special place in Toronto! I have not experienced a more welcoming environment in the city. Please make sure you try the elixirs and the delicious vegan wraps!

Absolutely beautiful venue; perfect for intimate performances or local artists to showcase their talents. Reasonable prices for an eclectic range of drinks with friendly staff. Sound design leaves much to be desired, however; being mixed at +2 decibels while the instrumentation is -10 is a rookie mistake. Furthermore, the lack of an AUX connection at a venue that purports to host live music is genuinely unfathomable. Save for that fundamental error, I enjoyed the crowd and the atmosphere; beautiful decor. Check it out!!!
