For 3 months, I kept living with a painful right knee that would flare up, especially after playing volleyball. I went to my previous physiotherapist who relied on machines and ultrasound therapy that helped to alleviate the pain, but only temporarily. After complaining about it to a friend, I was fortunately directed to Rhea to try someone new. During my initial assessment, Rhea was extremely thorough, professional, and positive. She was able to highlight my tight IT band and gave me exercises to hep alleviate this knee pain. Right after I saw her, I felt so much better. I was so surprised that she alleviated my pain without any use of machines! It's been about 6 weeks since I first saw Rhea, and my knee is free of pain and back to normal. Rhea was so great that I went to see her instead of my chiropractor for my lower back pain. I love my chiropractor, but hate the fact that the treatment was only reactive. Rhea provided me with the exercises that I now do regularly to avoid back pain. This proactive approach has helped so much, especially since I'm often hunched over a desk working. Rhea is a miracle worker! I suffered a dislocated shoulder injury and she ACTUALLY helped me with regaining my range of motion and strength, other physios I went to just used ultrasound. If you’re looking for a physio that cares as much as you for your rehabilitation this is where you want to go.
My physiotherapy treatment with Rhea Monterio
I was suffering from chronic pain in my left hip for the past few years. I sought out several types of treatments including Chiropractic treatments without much help. I was managing with pain killers regularly. Most of the days I used to get up in the mornings with pain and my mobility was getting seriously affected day by day and I sought medical help.
After all the tests, my family doctor advised me to go for physiotherapy and I started treatment sessions with Rhea Monteiro. Rhea studied my case carefully and after the second visit she offered a few recommendations that I had to follow in my daily activities and taught me some stretching exercises. The exercises were simple enough.
To my greatest surprise, I got up the next morning without the usual pain. I started following Rhea’s recommendations and doing the exercises she taught me regularly. The next few days changed me completely and I am now able to move around without any discomfort. I am very much thankful to Rhea Monterio for diagnosing my problem correctly and treating me completely.
