  I recently inherited two vintage sewing machines, both in need of some TLC. I brought them here and was not disappointed. Sam makes you feel like family. He certainly knows his stuff, works quickly, gives an honest opinion and a fair price! 10/10 would recommend.

  I dropped off a 1958 singer machine that I was struggling with using heavy outdoor fabric and ultraviolet nylon thread. I left it overnight and it was ready the next day, he added a couple small parts for the tensioner and adjusted the machine. I've been sewing away for days with no problems. Under $100 and I'm more than happy. I was talking to the person who runs the stamp department, and he was really helpful, very friendly and have no complaints at all. I will definitely go back to this store. All I can say is don't expect somebody to fix your machine for nothing just because your machine is only worth $100. I would give a 5 star, but my service was not on a complex expensive machine.

  I have taken a few machines to Sam recently and his service is outstanding. He is very honest about whether a machine is worth the repair. He responds quickly. Usually the machine is ready the next day.

  Sam is a very friendly and professional mechanic. The shop is organized, his service prices are reasonable - I don't have to feel like I have to barter with him to get things done. Unlike some specialists in various professions, Sam and his partner are both very approachable and not condescending to sometimes what seems like newbie questions. After he fixed my bread and butter machine, I bought him my two other machines to repair - great turn-around time and he always call you back.

  Sam had my old Elna running smoothly on the same day and at a very reasonable price. I do lots of theatre sewing and am up against a deadline and Sam was wonderful about making sure he fixed it so quickly! Definitely recommend his shop!
