  The A-1 Chimney team is professional and courteous. The insurance company required that my mother receive a WETT Certificate for her wood burning stove. The technician; Owen was very professional, completed a thorough cleaning, and provided a quick turn around for the WETT Certificate - their service was much appreciated.

  As new home owner, I had called for two chimney sweeps. Coincidentally, A1 Quality Chimney Sweep had already cleaned our two chimneys for the previous owner weeks before we moved in. I had no idea, but they had my new home's record on file and let me know that there was no need for a cleaning. They also very patiently listened to an issue I once had with one of the fires (where some smoke blew down) and they told me what I had to do next time. They could have easily charged me for services I thought I needed, but instead were honest and patient on the phone and told me that no services were required at this time. Will definitely use them in the future! I'm very impressed.

  What a great bunch of people! I called them for help when the damper cover fell down out my my chimney. Kelly was so helpful and called me right back. He said he would have a technician call me to try to help. Owen called and talked me through the repair on the phone. Incredibly helpful. I will give these guys all the business I can. You should, too.

  I had gone onto the roof after the big windstorm to put the chimney cap back on after it blew off. After the latest windstorm here in Toronto I noticed my chimney cap came off again. I hate going on my roof and I figured it was time to get someone in to do it right. After a quick google search I came across A-1. I emailed them on a Saturday night, but my email was never replied to. I called on Monday and spoke to a friendly voice that booked me for the upcoming Saturday. They called the night before to confirm the appointment. I told them I would be out, but they said pics would be taken and texted to me while the guy was on the roof. Saturday came and the worker came about 2 hours earlier which was perfect! Due to the rain he had some cancellations, but the rain had stopped when he got to our house. He put the cap on and came back down to show me some pics of where the chimney was crumbling and offered to fix it up for a reasonable price which I agreed to. Showed me more pics of the chimney and advised that it should be fixed by next summer at the latest. I knew it was in rough shape from me being on the roof a couple weeks back so I knew he was being honest. Gave me some options as to what we should do with the chimney which we were happy to find out about. The worker that came was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Never got his name, but great work! Was able to pay by e-transfer which was convenient. All in all I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a chimney cap or repairs. Will be calling them next summer to fix our chimney for sure!
